Associated Credit Union (ACU) celebrated the Grand Opening of their new Home Depot Branch location on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. ACU executives and staff gathered with Home Depot employees and representatives to mark the occasion.

The new location in Home Depot showcases ACU’s first foray into the micro-branch. The ACU micro-branch design is contained within a small footprint, but big in technology; such as the use of cash-recyclers and interactive teller machines (ITMs).

“The small footprint and the robust technology allows our staff to be involved in greeting members and further building the relationship,” said Heiwote Tadesse, ACU SVP of Member Relations.

ACU had a branch inside Home Depot for many years, however the move to Main Street was a much anticipated improvement in visibility. “We are so excited for this new branch inside Home Depot,” said Robin Chase, Branch Service Representative. “The central location and the new branch design will allow us the opportunity to give our members an even higher level of service.”

The Grand Opening Ceremony was a celebration that included breakfast, cookies, and refreshments for Home Depot employees, along with a photo booth to add to the excitement of the day. Additionally, employees were able to “spin” a digital wheel for the opportunity to win gift cards and other prizes.

The ACU Home Depot Branch is open to Home Depot employees only and has from 8AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday. The Live Teller ITM is open 8AM – 7PM, Monday – Friday and 9AM – 12PM on Saturdays.
